Update from Ubuntu Breezy, to Ubuntu Dapper by the Update
Manager worked quite well.
I have a Soyo KT600 Dragon Ultra Mother Board with an
ATI AIW Radeon 7500 (RV200 QW) video card.
I was supprised that with xorg 7 installed, xawtv worked to view
TV,Composite, and Svideo. Unfortunately Capture is still not working with the xorg radeon driver.
I had been hoping that with Gatos ati drivers merged into xorg 7,
there would no longer be issues with this video card.
I had capture working with the 2.4.x kernels + Gatos ati drivers.
I just can't figure out why duplicating the functionality to xorg, that worked with 2.4.x kernels, and XFree86,is such an issue for the xorg people.
I will not buy another ATI product ever again due to their errogant persistance to not support their linux customers.
